Personnel for New Yor-Uba’s regional New England tour included guest alto saxophonist Greg Osby, Yunior Terry on bass and the perennially featured master folklorist Roman Diaz, along with all the other great musicians who have graced the ensemble for many years. An immersive experience, activities included full group concerts, post-concert talkbacks, concerts of sacred Afro-Cuban music, including a church service, panels, lecture-conversations on Afro-Cuban and African spirituality, a composing/arranging workshop in the Boston U. School of Music and class visits in Religion and Art History.
