As part of the Unity Jazz Festivaly, this concert featured 18 of the twenty 2025 inaugural cohort  Mellon Foundation Jazz Legacies Fellows.  Great performances by all  in various configurations.  I had the honor of playing  in a quintet setting with George Coleman, Julian Priester, Reggie Workman and Billy Hart as well as a trio with Russel Hall and Roger Humphries and a quartet with George Coleman. Other performers included Bertha Hope, Amina Claudine Meyers, Roscoe Mitchell , Carmen Lundy, Valerie Capers, Johnny O’Neil, Dom Salvador, Herlin Reiley.  Am honored to be a part of this life-changing initiative.  It was such a joy to be together and make music.
